Aims and Objectives
My aim is to produce an effective range of photographs looking at movement. I want to capture many different aspects of movement, for example moving vehicles in London, e.g. the Underground.
- I also want to capture the creativity and refinement of dance, I will do this through photographs and creating a video. I would like to focus specifically on ballet for the dance element of my photography, I think ballet is very precise and elegant, and so I want to capture this in my photographs. I am inspired and influenced by the photographer Kenneth Mucke who has captured photographs of ballet and the beauty of it. Another aspect of ballet that I want to capture, is using flour, to create a smoky/hazy effect. Using the flour, allows the camera to capture the movement of the ballerina.
- Another idea I have for my photography is using fairground rides in Brighton. My idea is to have people as the focal point of the photograph, and to have moving rides in the background, this will create the blurred effect, as well as capturing emotion from the people.
- Another aspect of movement I want to capture involves using animals, such as dogs. I want to capture the motion of them shaking. I like how the camera captures the water coming off of the dog. I also like how the
